Victoria Falls National ParkVictoria Falls lies on the border of Zambia and Zambezi and is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. For this reason, it is listed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The falls are just over 1 mile wide and 340 feet high. During the wet season over 19 million cubic feet of water plummets over the edge into the Zambezi River. The spray from this water rises 1000 feet into the sky and has been reported to be seen from over 25 miles away. The local name Mosi-oa-Tunya meaning "Smoke That Thunders" seems most appropriate. For information on the Zambia side of the falls, refer to Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park.
